Even if you miss just one class it can be hard to catch up with the rest of the class. I have seen people miss a class and then basically give up as they have found it too difficult to catch up.

Getting an online or audio course.

This is my preferred method, and one that I have personally utilized for a few topics. I realize that I can work at my own pace, allowing me to use my time to the best. With audio courses I find that repetition is the most important thing to learning, especially with languages. The excellent thing about audio courses is that you can put a cd or tape in your car when driving to office and the learning almost becomes like osmosis. You don't have to devote the time to this, as you are in the car anyway.

Even if you travel to office by bus or train, a walkman or other such gadget will permit you to listen while on the go. Depending on how good your memory is, and how well you grasp the subject at hand, whether learning to speak Spanish or learning just anything, you can listen to every lesson as regular as you need to learn speak Spanish.
